Körber Logistics at LogiMAT 2019 Overview
As a leading provider of smart logistics technologies, at LogiMAT 2019 Körber Logistics presents concepts and solutions for shaping the supply chain of the future. At the stand in hall 1 (C16) and at two additional stands of the subsidiaries Voiteq and Inconso in hall 8 (D15 and D55) the Business Area of the international technology group Körber shows its expertise in automation and system integration, product solutions, and software. At the main stand in hall 1 the focus is on Layer Picker® Solutions, flexible and scalable smart robotics applications tailored for automated layer picking in the warehouses of FMCG and 3PL providers. In addition, Körber Logistics discusses future challenges of logistics and how to address them in its "Tomorrow Lab" at the stand.
"We have a clear vision of the future of logistics and the supply chain and have defined it for our Business Area", says Hubert Kloss, CEO of Körber Logistics. "Through consistent digiti-zation, logistics processes will become faster, more flexible, more effective and more profita-ble. Körber Logistics with its globally active Business Units is prepared for these changes: By installing agile innovation processes and working closely with our customers and innovation partners, we are on our way to becoming the leading provider for shaping the digitization of logistics."
An example for this development is the spectacular model of a Layer Picker® Solution at the stand in hall 1: The complex installation for layer picking can be experienced at close hand using a large-scale Lego model. The supplementary presentation of digital configuration and service tools additionally stresses modularity, flexibility and scalability of the extensively au-tomated system. Moreover, at the stands of Körber Logistics and its subsidiaries latest tech-nologies for production and warehouse, voice solutions, data analytics and software for end-to-end management of the supply chain are presented.
Together with select customers and partners Körber Logistics takes a glance at the future of logistics in a separate area of the stand in hall 1. "Together with our guests we discuss innovative solutions for shaping the supply chain of the future in our 'Tomorrow Lab'", says Hubert Kloss. Topics reach from production logistics and the warehouse to the smart city and comprehensive supply chain execution.
Finally, visions of the future from Körber Logistics are the topics of two lectures at LogiMAT: On 19 February 2019 Pano Papamanoglou, Chief Technology Officer of Körber Logistics, speaks about "Smart Robotics on the Rise" and about the challenges for the supply chain involved. Kerstin Höfle, Head of Technology Management at Körber Logistics, on 21 February 2019 addresses "Market Pull & Technology Push" using the best mix of customer expectations and profound technology-expertise to make innovation possible.
