Körber Logistics at LogiMAT 2018 Innovations for Digitalization/Logistik 4.0
The fair presentation focuses on Digitalization and Logistics 4.0. The exhibition of new products and services emphasizes the high development standards of the three business field’s system integration, product solutions and software, whose expertise is pooled in the company group.
Under the roof of Körber Logistics, the system integrators Aberle und Consoveyo, the product solution suppliers Langhammer and Riantics, as well as the software developers Inconso, Aberle Software, Highjump and DMLogic are working together. “The expertise and possibilities offered by the companies in our three business field’s provide us with the prerequisites to develop in a holistic approach solution with a maximum benefit for our customers,” Hubert Kloß, CEO of Körber Logistik-Systeme GmbH, explains. “As our standard products can be excellently integrated, this allows us exact customization to the individual processes of our customers.”
At an operational level a man-machine-cooperation constitutes the basis of future-oriented processes. Sensor technology, automation and the use of augmented reality outline the range of modern robot technology. In this context, for the first time ever, the company presents in Hall 1 of LogiMAT, with a live-demonstration, the integration of a mobile picking robot into the coordinated control order assembly processes.
Körber Logistics also shows the scope of potential benefits of a new ServiceApp by Aberle in combination with this live-demonstration. The App allows service engineers on-site to access context sensitive data or information which provide specific assistance for planning, maintenance or repair by smartphone or tablet.
The basis for this is the application of augmented reality: Live impressions of the on-site operation are complemented with important additional or background information – such as operating hours, service intervals, current error messages or digitally provided wiring diagrams, detail views and workflows. The Service-App at LogiMAT is linked to the installation of the picking robot and thus allows a demonstration close to practical usage.
“The solution presented in Stuttgart will already be available in 2018 as a solution feature for usage by our customer’s service personnel,” Kloß states. “It can thus be seen as a consequent step towards the development of further service and business models in the context of digitalization.”
With additional up-to-date exhibits and presentations, the companies of Körber Logistics will demonstrate the digitalization of project planning procedures, process controlling as well as maintenance and service for logistic systems and machinery at the fair. This includes the introduction of a company-own Hololens-Application. Mixed-Reality-Glasses allow the user in this case to watch a current product of the company group as an interactive 3D-Projection in an exemplary environment.
Additionally, the software-tool “VirtualPlant” will be shown. With this tool the conveyor components of the system are virtually created in the planning phase which are linked to the IT-Systems and controls involved. The material flow can be simulated before the actual system installation on-site. In the so-called emulation of automation systems response, behavior of the planned system is recorded and analyzed. So it is possible to identify and eliminate possible weaknesses of the system configuration in advance.
Inconso GmbH shows new developments in the business field Software in Hall 8 at Booth 8D55. Integrative product worlds are the focus of the fair presentation. Beneath solutions for logistic planning and control in the warehousing, transport and yard management context, software specialist Inconso will divulge particularly about holistic concepts for efficient logistics management from the first to the last mile.
